About the rallies
Taking Ramadan reminders into the community.
The Ramadan Rallies are one of Ansaar Muslim Sisters’ flagship annual outreach programs and have been conducted annually for the past 10 years. Held every Saturday and Sunday throughout the month of Ramadan, the rallies take place in different locations across Mombasa, the Coast region, and surrounding communities, enabling Ansaar to reach Muslim women and girls with beneficial Islamic knowledge during this blessed month.
On any given weekend, several rallies may be taking place simultaneously, with different teams travelling to towns, villages, and remote communities. Through inspiring lectures, reminders, and interactive discussions, the rallies aim to strengthen iman, encourage acts of worship, and help participants make the most of the spiritual opportunities that Ramadan offers.
As part of this initiative, Ansaar also runs a Date Drive, collecting dates through the generosity of donors and distributing them to communities during the rallies to support those breaking their fast.
The Ramadan Rallies reflect our commitment to ensuring that the message of Islam reaches communities far and wide, fostering unity, sisterhood, and spiritual growth throughout the holy month.
