Two-day annual Islamic convention
Flagship two-day Islamic gathering
Annual Convention
Ansaar’s flagship two-day Islamic gathering in Mombasa brings Muslim women and girls together for learning, spiritual growth, contemporary discussion and sisterhood.
About the convention
A weekend of learning, growth and sisterhood.
The Ansaar Annual Convention is our flagship two-day Islamic gathering that brings together Muslim women and girls from Mombasa and its environs for a weekend of learning, spiritual growth, and sisterhood. Held annually in Mombasa, the convention provides a platform for participants to strengthen their faith, increase their Islamic knowledge, and discuss contemporary issues affecting the Muslim Ummah.
The program features inspiring lectures, interactive discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and reminders that encourage participants to grow closer to Allah and apply Islamic teachings in their daily lives. Beyond learning, the convention fosters unity, lasting friendships, and a strong sense of belonging among Muslim women and girls from different communities.
The convention is open to participants from Mombasa and its surrounding areas, who attend the daily sessions, as well as sisters travelling from other parts of the country. Day participants are provided with lunch, while guests from outside Mombasa are hosted throughout the convention and receive accommodation together with all their meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, free of charge.
The Annual Convention is made possible through the generous support of donors and well-wishers, whose contributions enable us to welcome participants regardless of their financial circumstances and continue serving Muslim women and girls through beneficial knowledge and meaningful experiences.
